SMC Williams Guide Service was built around a lifelong friendship, a shared passion for hunting, and a family tradition that spans generations.

Owners and guides Sam McGuire and Colby Williams have spent decades hunting and guiding throughout California and the West. Their combined experience has shaped a guiding philosophy centered on preparation, ethical hunting, adaptability, and providing each client with a professional and memorable experience in the field.

From wild pigs and blacktail deer to Tule elk and turkey, every hunt is approached according to the animal, the terrain, the season, and the conditions of the day.

More Than a Guided Hunt

Every hunt is different. Weather changes. Wildlife behavior changes. Terrain changes. The conditions that produce an opportunity one day may be completely different the next.

That's why we don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.

We select our hunting properties and adapt our hunting methods based on the conditions, the species, and the goals of each hunter. Years of experience in the field have taught us that preparation and adaptability are often what turn an opportunity into a successful hunt.

California offers exceptional year-round wild pig hunting, and SMC Williams Guide Service specializes in guided hunts on private, free-range ranches throughout the Central Coast and Central Valley.

Our approach combines careful glassing, spot-and-stalk hunting, and—when conditions warrant—trained pig dogs. Every hunt is adapted to the ranch, weather, food and water availability, and pig behavior to provide hunters with the best opportunity possible.
